My chat with a Regulatory VP
I asked him about the current regulatory approval for DTC within his company (he asked me not to reveal his company) and he proceeded to give me a very long response which I will summarize. On DTC marketers attempts to use new media he said that too often they wanted to do something for the sake of doing something and what really concerned him was that they didn’t have enough people to monitor the program once it was up. When I asked about risk his response was that “in this environment without any real guidelines everything is a risk”.
